Tomorrow, Vermilion Harvest - Playtime at the Bagh launches its sales.
During the pre-order phase, Vermilion Harvest has garnered positive reviews on Goodreads, Barnes & Noble, and more. A heartfelt thank you to all my reviewers and everyone who has placed pre-orders. Achieving bestseller status is a challenging journey, but with your support, I am confident it’ll get there eventually.
The book has garnered attention in numerous media outlets and print articles, such as this featured story on Fox 19, which delves into cultural dynamics. They were intrigued by how culture can fade across generations. For me, writing South Asian historical fiction is a way to illuminate our society's past. Because despite the growing recognition of our community in a diverse America, there's still a limited understanding of our past and the forces that shaped us.
Recently, on the True Fiction Project, Traci DeForge of Produce Your Podcast, interviewed Lynn Moon and Shannon Pearson, my publishers at Indignor House, about Vermilion Harvest. Lynn discussed the historical context of the book in India and its potential impact on future readers. Additionally, I shared a carefully selected excerpt from a pivotal scene.
